Symbols
Insignia are an integral part of the traditions of the Technical University of Košice. Since the Middle Ages, insignia have been a symbol of universities' prestigious status. Initially, they reflected the exceptional position of universities in medieval society, but in modern times, the significance of insignia has been reduced to representative functions. The oldest university insignia include the seal, the scepter, and a medal suspended from a chain.
