The Faculty of Economics at the Technical University of Košice has been providing education in the fields of finance, banking, and investment, as well as public administration and regional development for over 20 years. Its graduates contribute to the professionalization of the financial and banking sector, as well as public administration in Slovakia.
The mission of the faculty is to advance knowledge and provide high-quality, professional education in economics, contribute to the development of society, and shape the regional economy through research, consulting activities, further education, and services for the local and regional community. The faculty aims to be a sought-after institution, educating students in the spirit of democracy and humanism, encouraging tolerance, and fostering critical and creative thinking. It also creates conditions for free scientific inquiry and knowledge dissemination and is actively engaged in international cooperation.
Currently, over 1,000 students are enrolled in both full-time and part-time study programs. The faculty offers fully accredited study programs at all three levels. After completing three years of undergraduate studies, students can earn a Bachelor's (Bc.) degree, and by completing a two-year Master's program, they can obtain a Master's (Ing.) degree. At the doctoral level, the faculty offers a Ph.D. program in Finance and Spatial and Regional Economics.
