Award of the honorary title Doctor honoris causa TUKE

On 4 October 2024, the Technical University of Košice held a ceremony of conferring the honorary title of Doctor honoris causa Univ.-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr.mont. Dr.-Ing. E.h. Peter Moser, Rector of the Montan Universität Leoben in Austria, for his outstanding contribution to the development in the field of science, research and education.

Memorandum of Cooperation Signed Between TUKE and Georgia Institute of Technology

On October 2, 2024 the Rector of TUKE Peter Mésároš signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between TUKE and Georgia Institute of Technology, represented by Prof. Robert N. Thomas, PhD. from Scheller College of Business, Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta, GA, USA).

Memorandum of Understanding between TUKE and IOM

TUKE participated in the largest European trade fair for education in Toulouse, France, from 17 to 20 September 2024

Statement of the Technical University of Košice to the Amendment of the Higher Education Act

The Technical University of Košice (TUKE) welcomes the draft act amending the Higher Education Act. In particular, it is beneficial to amend the competence of the governing board of the university as well as the competence of other bodies of the academic self-government of the university, which shall enable universities to direct the university's smooth running more efficiently and promptly, as well as to respond more flexibly to the needs of social and economic practice.

The Technical University of Košice in 2024 with the Largest Children's University in Slovakia

The Technical University of Košice (TUKE) organised the TUKE Children's University during four weeks in July 2024 (from July 1 - 26, 2024), which was attended by 240 children between 7 and 13 years old. Based on the number of graduates, TUKE Children's University is the largest summer children's university in Slovakia in 2024.
